We welcome Dr. Christopher Harris as our new Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Dr. Christopher Harris, a native of Washington, D.C., Dr. Harris holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Charlotte Christian College and Seminary in Theology (B.A.) and Divinity (M.A.); a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from North Carolina A&T State University; and a Doctor of Education in Christian Leadership from Liberty University. He is joining the faculty of CCCTS as Vice-President of Academic Affairs.
Dr. Harris serves as the Senior Pastor of the Flint Hill Baptist Church of Rock Hill and a K-6 Teacher for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. Since 1987, Dr. Harris has served as an educational resource in classrooms of various sizes and settings, both in public and Christian settings. Dr. Harris has consistently realized the objective of fulfilling the call to teach and preach the Gospel of Christ from state conventions and the local church to public schools. His personal and professional creed includes:

- Building Positive relationships with Governmental, Religious, and Community partners
- Motivating, Training, and Mentoring Christian Leadership
Dr. Harris believes in lifelong learning opportunities and is a developer of the local church curriculum. His DISSERTATION: The Impact of Sunday School Participation on Spiritual Formation in African American Baptist Churches in North Carolina has led to the development of an individualized curriculum for the local churches he serves.
Dr. Harris is a member of the Beta Nu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He is also the founder of New Birth Living In Fullness Everyday (LIFE) Ministries, a subsidiary of the New Birth Christian Fellowship, Inc., a 501(c)(3) corporation since 2002 seeking to enlighten and promote the development of Christian principles through educational programming.
Dr. Harris has been married to Jade since 1989, and they have three adult children (one son and two daughters) and two grandchildren.
